Welcome to Tête à l'air , our bed and breakfast and gîte located in Montils , in the heart of Charente-Maritime.

No frills here. We've created a place where everyone can spend the kind of holiday that suits them: relaxing, playing, exploring the region, sharing good times or simply taking the time to live.

We welcome you to a fully renovated old Charentaise farmhouse, which has retained all its charm. Its impressive stone walls, some up to 1.20 meters thick, naturally keep the house cool, even during the hottest summer days. While the days can be sunny, the nights are generally pleasant, and each room is equipped with a fan to ensure a comfortable sleep.

Our rooms all have a separate entrance, a private bathroom and a private toilet, so you can enjoy your stay in complete peace and quiet. The cottage, meanwhile, has a fully equipped kitchen, ideal for those who wish to be completely self-sufficient.

In the morning (and sometimes in the evening), we offer homemade meals to share in the large common room or on the terrace, depending on the weather and your preferences.

The garden is a living space in its own right. People stroll there, play in it, observe the vegetable garden, take a nap… and it's not uncommon to encounter Deluxe and Liver , our two mascot hens, who are strolling peacefully around the property.

Do you want to organize a birthday party, a family reunion, a seminar, a wedding reception, or simply bring together the people who matter to you?

The property can be entirely privatized and accommodate up to 18 people . If you wish, we can also prepare a meal, a buffet, or a homemade cake and assist you in organizing your event.
